Bukit Sari Temple

Bukit Sari temple located in the middle of the monkey forest Sangeh Village, north of Badung. The temple area is one of the attractions that tempt. Imagine, a quiet temple that looks like a castle guarded by hundreds of troops of monkeys.

According to the story, Pura Bukit Sari built by Anak Agung anglurah Made Karang Asem sakti, the adopted son of the King of Mengwi in that time, Cokorda Blambangan sakti. Since young Anak Agung anglurah Made Karang Asem likes to live a spiritual behavior. One night, while undergoing austerities, he gained pawisik (inspiration) to set up a temple in the middle of the monkey forest at sangeh.

Sangeh nutmeg tree, there is also an interesting story. According to myth, the trees came from the area of Mount Agung in eastern Bali. A gang of nutmeg trees travel from Bali's Mount Agung to the western region. Unfortunately, at the night road trip can be seen by someone. As a result, the magical journey stalled. The trees are then settled there and developed into the forest of Sangeh until today.

Old story said, Sangeh derived from two words: Sang the meaning of people and ngeh means see or be interpreted as being seen.

Nowadays, the forest of sangeh inhabited by hundreds of gray monkeys and long-tailed. The current population is approximately 700 individuals. Herd of monkeys was divided into three groups: the western, central, and eastern. Each group is led by a male monkey king.

The monkeys in this region is quite benign. They rarely get groceries by way of seizing visitors. However, do not try to make the monkey angry. Moreover, the angry is the king. He wills call his group to attack together. It never happens on a soap opera director who was accidentally kicked the monkey king who seized property papaya film one scene. Toyabugkah Village

Toyabungkah included in the Batur Village area, the western banks of Lake Batur. The distance is about 88 kilometers from Kuta. Toyabungkah an area that has natural hot water. In this area there are two hot springs. Which one is managed by a foundation owned traditional village of Batur, the other one is managed by a private company. The water temperature in the hot springs reach 30-45 degrees. The water is believed to cure various skin diseases. Although you did not belong to the diseased skin, why should bathe there. You can do relaxation with a soak in the hot tub while enjoying the view of Lake Batur and Trunyan tucked among the dense forests in the northeastern edge of the lake.

Taro Village

Taro village is about 45 kilometers from Kuta. In this village there is a village forest inhabited by a group of white oxen. The animal was sacred by the local people. Usually these animals become complementary means of ceremonies in Bali. As a complement, the white bull was brought into place by the organizers of the ceremony and the ceremony was led around the area / place of ceremony from east to south and so on around three times. This ceremony is called the mapepada or prototype daksina. After the ceremony is complete white bulls returned to the jungle village of Taro, once offered a variety of offerings. Moreover, in this village there are two new attractions elephant trekking. Here you can ride elephants through the trail around the forest around the village of Taro. If you want, you can steer the elephant you rode a swim in the pool.
